Class for Singers and Others
Puzzling Parables
Join the class at
9:30am beginning February 28th for a look at parables that
we just don't understand as well as we think we should.
We'll begin with a general discussion of parables--what they
are, why Jesus used them, how they should be interpreted,
and more. This study will continue through the spring.
This
class meets in Room 325 with class facilitator,
Martha Pool.
Coffee,
Conversation and Christ
The group will be studying
Christianity and World Religions. This is a six week class which will
feature a weekly video followed by group discussion.
Books are
optional at a cost of $9.00.
This class meets in the Colonial Room with Tom Tobin leading the current
study.
Breakfast
Club
The
responsibility of giving a reasoned defense of Christianity is not the job
of a select few theologians who specialize in apologetics. The Bible makes
it clear that the job of defending Christianity belongs to every Christian
and that all Christians should be prepared to do this at any time.
"… Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who
asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have…" (1 Peter
3:15) Using a variety of resources, Breakfast Club will continue it's study
of apologetics so that we can develop stronger skills to enable us to defend
our faith in Jesus Christ.
This class meets
in Room 324 with class leaders, Barb Callahan and Glen Greenwood.
