First Nighters
The group will be traveling to Pomeroy
again this year for lunch on August 7th. The church van and carpooling will
be departing from the parking lot at 10:00am with lunch scheduled at the
Wild Horse Cafe for 11:30am. The group will then have some shopping time and
perhaps a side trip across the river before gathering at the Hubbard home
for dessert. Plan to make a delightful day of it and join the group. Please
indicate your desire to go by signing up in the Connective or contacting
Jerry Wysong.
Pool Party
The entire congregation is invited to
an end of summer pool party bash at Valley View Swim Club. That's right,
we're taking over Valley View on Sunday, August 15th from 8:00 -
11:00pm. Even if you don't want to swim, come on over for some good
fellowship. We will have DJ Mark there playing some of our favorite tunes,
grilling out and eating some great food and playing beach volleyball. The
cost is $3.00 per person or $12.00 maximum for a family which covers
admittance and food. The concession stand will also be available if you wish
to bring extra money. Dewey and the youth group will end the night with a
lock-in back at the church after the swim party. So mark your calendars and
grab your swim suits and towels and plan on attending this fun-filled event.
If you have any questions, please contact the office.
PNC Report
The group continues to review resumes
and listen to submitted sermons. Please pray for this group of dedicated
members and the work they have before them.
